Witchy Journal Prompts for Autumn
Autumn has a way of stirring something deep in the soul.
The leaves change, the air cools, and we’re reminded of cycles — endings, beginnings, and everything in between.
For more ways to align with the season, read The Wheel of the Year for Beginners: A Gentle Guide to Seasonal Living.
Journaling is one of my favorite ways to capture this magic, and it can become a sacred practice in itself. A journal can be your Book of Shadows, a gratitude diary, or simply a cozy space where your heart meets the page.

Choosing Your Book of Shadows
There’s no one “right” way to keep a witchy journal. Some witches use a simple spiral notebook, others a leather-bound treasure, and many collect loose pages in a binder.
The important thing is that it feels magical to you. Tape in pressed leaves, doodle moon phases, scribble messy notes — the magic comes from your presence on the page.
For more ideas on creating a personal grimoire, see Writing with Intention: The Magic of Feather Pens in Your Book of Shadows.
So brew a cup of tea, light a candle, and let your pen dance.
This season has wisdom to offer — all you have to do is listen.
